Hope and Healing are on the Horizon. We Can Reach Them Together.

Addiction isn’t fair, and recovery isn’t easy, but The Annex can help you take your next steps toward a personalized and sustainable treatment plan.

Whether you have struggled with addiction for years or simply worry that you may be addicted, we are ready to listen and eager to help. With the Annex, failure is not final.

Any step forward is a positive step, even if you have experienced setbacks in your recovery journey.

Understanding Addiction is a Step Toward Recovery

Addiction is a response to trauma, and the root of that trauma is different for everyone. Whether you have experienced abuse of some kind, psychological or physical pain, or other unbearable circumstances, addictions often develop as a way to cover up those wounds.

Imagine a broken bone; medicine might temporarily relieve the pain, but unless the bone is properly treated and healed, not only will the pain continue to return, but the underlying injury will get worse. In addiction, the willingness to address and treat the underlying trauma is a brave and crucial step toward overcoming drug and alcohol abuse.

Comprehensive and Compassionate Addiction Resources

The Annex exists in this space between willingness to pursue recovery and entrance into treatment. We understand that your battle with addiction can feel like being at war with yourself.

Despite feeling willing and eager to seek treatment one day, addiction may tighten its grasp the next – convincing you that treatment can wait.

We recognize that this “window of willingness” can be fleeting, which is why our services prioritize harm reduction, comprehensive treatment, and supportive aftercare. We conduct our own assessments, assist with entrance requirements and referrals, facilitate access detox when necessary, provide addictions counseling, and offer multiple other addiction resources in order to prolong that window of willingness.
